If you are an early- or mid-career researcher and work on any aspect of urban green infrastructure, from ancient woodland fragments to green roofs, whether it’s a focus on policy, planning, design, implementation or management, please join us. This is an opportunity to meet researchers with similar interests from across the University, to hear about exciting work being undertaken and to share ideas.

We are in the process of reorganising, but you should shortly be able to sign up by registering to our Google Group mailing list, this will add you to the list we use to communicate information about our symposium and other events.

Even if you are not signed up to the mailing list but would like to come to an event, please do come along. We would love to meet you.

Our members (Google Group link coming soon) come from over 10 departments and multiple faculties at the University of Sheffield. The purpose of this group is two-fold:

  1. For us all to have a directory of the group - to facilitate exchanges, collaborations, and future networking without having to wait for an organised event.

  2. For other early- or mid-career researchers who might be interested in urban green infrastructure to sign up.

Please do pass the link along to your networks, anyone can sign themselves up by adding their name to the list. The group is open only to @sheffield.ac.uk members so you will need to be signed in to see it. If you are not at the University of Sheffield and are interested, please email us.

We would like this group to be as open and inclusive as possible - to people, ideas, and collaborations. Please get in touch if you have any comments, words of advice, want to take the lead, need a UGI-related platform or would like to have a coffee with someone!

If you have any ideas for events you'd like to see, please do let us know! If you have a tangible site or lab (or anything else) that you could organise a short visit, we'd love to hear from you.
