Symposium 2019

This event brought together 19 attendees from 5 departments and 3 faculties across the University of Sheffield, plus one keynote speaker from Sheffield City Council. The 2019 UGI Symposium was held on the 7th of May 2019. Presentations covered a range of topics from monitoring water levels within soil through to landscape modelling to understand changes in government land management procedures.

The agenda for the day can be seen here. We started the day with an icebreaker game of Urban Green Infrastructure Bingo. Research presentations then covered a range of topics, including greenways, restoration, water levels, and government land management procedures.

Thank you very much to those of you who attended the UGI symposium - we've continually received positive feedback, and we're very pleased you enjoyed the day. It was a pleasure to meet you all and engage in some exciting discourse about our different views on green infrastructure. We hope the variety of research presented has given you some new ideas. Thank you all for creating the stimulating environment for this to happen!

Thank you to Think Ahead for funding our third symposium.
